The three editions run the same application, with the same local AI and SQL engine. They differ in what you may use them for and in what you can export.

Totsum is sold in the European Union only. Each price is a one-time payment, with your currency and tax set at checkout.

Own it, don’t rent it

One invoice, not a forever subscription

Subscription analytics tools charge you every year, forever, whether you use them daily or a few times a year. Totsum is one invoice. You buy it once, and there is no subscription, because the AI runs on your hardware and we have no per-query cloud bill to pass on to you.

Questions about buying

Is this really a one-time payment?

Yes. You buy a perpetual license. You pay once, and you use the version you bought for as long as you like. Any updates we release for your major version are free. Future major versions with significant new capabilities may be offered as paid upgrades, and buying them is always optional.

How accurate are the previews?

Totsum gives you a first look at your data, not a finished analysis, and it says so on screen. Like any AI, it will sometimes get an answer wrong. If you ask enough questions, some answers will be wrong. That is certain, and Totsum does not hide it.

That is why the checking is built into the product. You keep the results that look worth pursuing, and Totsum puts them into a follow-up report. A qualified person of your choice, with the right tools and expertise, then reviews each result and records it as Valid, Invalid or Inconclusive. The answer to “is this right?” is that person's verdict, not the AI's output.

See the FAQ and known limits.

What does “non-commercial” mean for the Personal license?

The test is what you use Totsum for, not who owns the computer.

A Personal license covers use that is not part of an organization's activities. That means your own projects and your own learning, even when the skills are relevant to your job and even on an employer's computer. It also means teaching, study, coursework and academic research, as long as no company or client pays for the work and no paid deliverable comes out of it. Evaluating the software before buying it is covered too, even when an organization does the evaluating, provided the results stay out of that organization's operations.

Everything done for an organization is Commercial Use and needs a Commercial license. The organization may be your own business, your employer, a client, a charity or a public body, and the work may be paid or unpaid. A university department that analyzes its own budget is making Commercial Use; a student on a course in that department is not. The exact definitions are in the license agreement.

How are taxes handled? Can I get an invoice?

Totsum is sold in the European Union. The checkout shows the VAT-inclusive price for your country, and you'll receive an invoice or receipt. Businesses can enter a VAT number at checkout.

How many machines or users does a license cover?

One license is for one person. You can move it between your own machines. The licensing guide explains how activation works.

What support is included?

Totsum is self-service. Support consists of documentation, an in-depth FAQ and a bug-report channel. We read the reports, and we don't promise a reply. When a report describes a bug worth fixing, the fix appears in a later version.

Updates are a firm commitment, not a courtesy. Security and conformity updates for your major version are free during its support period. The support period and its end date are published before sales open, and the end date is shown before you buy. Updates are published at /security and, where we hold your address, announced by e-mail. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
