A private beta opens soon.
Totsum ships to a private beta first, and its first phase is free. A selected tester receives a Commercial license limited in time. It is valid for 30 days from the day the key is issued, and there is nothing to pay and nothing to cancel. It comes without a support period, because a pre-release version is provided for testing. Apply with your email right below. Places are limited, so we can’t take everyone. Beyond the confirmation e-mail, you’ll hear from us only if you’re selected.
A beta is the step before an app goes on sale. A small group of early users runs it first, free of charge, and what they run into shapes the finished product. We call it private because you join by applying rather than by downloading.
Check your hardware first. Totsum requires a GPU with roughly 12 GB of VRAM, or a Mac with an M3 Pro chip or better and at least 18 GB of unified memory. Most current computers do not meet this requirement. See the hardware compatibility guide to check yours.
Apply for the private beta
You will first receive one e-mail asking you to confirm your address. If you are selected, your invitation carries the licence agreement as a PDF, and your key follows your acceptance.
The beta currently runs in the European Union. An application from elsewhere tells us where the demand is.
Unless you tick the box above, your application is deleted when the beta ends. The privacy policy describes what we keep and for how long.

What happens after you install
- The installer sets up the app itself. That takes a couple of minutes.
- The AI model (~7 GB) is downloaded during installation. The installer fetches it once from our own download server. It is an ordinary download, like your browser would make, and your files and questions are not part of it. On a machine with no internet access, the model files can be provisioned by hand instead, and the machine can stay disconnected.
- Ask your first question. Import your files and see the answer, the chart and the rows behind it. Then shortlist what deserves a closer look. See getting started.
A note on results. Totsum's results are a first look at your data, not an analysis. Like any AI, Totsum will sometimes get an answer wrong. Judging a result is therefore a person's job, not the app's. What you shortlist goes into a follow-up report for your qualified reviewer, who records the verdict. There is more in known limits.
